Welcome to
the kingdom of bikes ...
Since I stopped competing in 1993 a lot of projects and ideas have come my way. Always
guided by my passion for cycling, I have never strayed far from this milieu.
So when I was contacted about taking over a
biking venture I was, of course, quite interested. Once I went and saw the place I felt a
familiar shiver go through me. I knew immediately that I had found the ideal place to
create the LAURENT FIGNON CENTER. It is located in Gerde, next to
Bagnères de Bigorre, in the ‘Haute Bigorre’ in the French high Pyrénées
region.
Who could ask for anything more! We are at
the foot of the mythic Tourmalet mountain pass, in the region famous for 12 passes and
summit finishes used in the ‘Tour de France’ race since 1910, it’s a
record ! As we are located at the beginning of the valley it is possible to envision
cycling workshops utilizing less difficult courses. This is one of our many advantages.
I have also found a wonderful hotel, which
is perfectly suited for us and now the base for the Laurent Fignon Center. You will find
everything having to do with cycling, hospitality, and well-being inside. Once the
interior was completed, I developed two totally different workshops, however, the spirit
of each is the same: You will be able to pedal in the most optimal conditions and to
perfect your cycling technique.
Our motto is : " We will take care of
you like a pro and you will lack absolutely nothing" .
